Axel Getz is the quintessential artist on a journey to contribute beauty and substance to a world in upheaval. With a fluid style that moves to the beat of his own unique drum, he highlights and elevates a dialogue on societal dilemmas that are otherwise swept under the rug. Getz explores the spectrum of color and multiplicity of textures as brilliantly as he explores the humanex perience, utilizing an array of mediums from watercolor and soft pastels to oil paint and papercut outs to elicit contemplation on the equally expansive spectrum of human experience.

In partnership with the Minnie Park Art Project, Axel Getz’s work struck a chord during his exhibition in Seoul, where not a single piece of his remained unsold. His works stir emotion and thought cross-culturally, unafraid to sit with the less savory aspects of life such as tragedy, mortality, and confrontation of the self. He continues to work with gallerist and curator Minnie Park in New York City where he lives and works full time, with an upcoming show set for April,2024 that is certain to dazzle the eyes and rattle the soul.
