Working across ceramics, textiles, and installation, Pilnik explores the intersection of memory, identity, and personal history. His use of craft-based materials—like tufted textiles and hand-molded clay—anchors intimate narratives in tactile form, often referencing family dynamics, childhood experiences, and the complexities of emotional inheritance. By merging autobiographical imagery with symbolic gestures, he invites viewers to reflect on the ways we internalize and re-perform our pasts.
